Fresh Herbed Butter

Posted in : Food on by : Tiffany Tags: , ,

We grow a lot of herbs for our recipes. Basil, rosemary, thyme, parsley…living in Florida gives us a lot of great herb-growing weather. Something easy to do, and makes everything a little tastier, is to make Fresh Herbed Butter. It takes next to no time, and you can toss it with pasta or spread it on your favorite bread. You can’t go wrong.

Fresh Herbed Butter

  • 2 sticks of softened salted or unsalted butter (we used salted butter for this recipe)
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2-3 tbsp of each fresh herbs (we used rosemary, oregano, chives, and basil)

  1. Add all ingredients to the butter and mix well.
  2. Place in small storage baggie or saran wrap.
  3. Butter will harden in the fridge.
  4. Will keep in fridge for 2 weeks.

The herbed butter will last for about 2 weeks in the fridge. You can freeze to keep a little longer.
We found it nice to use with simple tomato sauces, to saut√© with shrimp, cook with chicken, use on your cooked veggies, ¬†really anything that uses butter and/or fresh herbs. It’s easy to see that the combinations are unlimited. We used it on some pasta with our lunch today!
